Steps, swims and Sights on all our mountain days
We have a passion for mountain guiding in North Wales. From growing up in Wales, we have had the privilege of exploring many of these legendary Welsh hills. We love sharing our knowledge and guiding you up these stunning mountains. We are confident you will fall in love with the mountains before you leave.
A day out in the mountains is always a great adventure. Here at Bearded Men Adventures we love the chance to help you explore this amazing location. By booking us for the day we can guide you up the popular routes to achieve your goals. Whether that be climbing Snowdon, or leading you off the beaten track. We will have you exploring the less known rugged and wild mountains we know you’d love.
Whether you want to conquer Snowdon or scramble the rocky slopes of Tryfan, our local knowledge of trails leading you off the beaten track and into the pure wilderness will have you falling in love with that mountain life.
Our guides can teach and instruct you in map reading, navigation, scrambling, ridge negotiating, rescue scenarios, wild camping expeditions and much much more. We love to sleep under the stars and we love it more when we can share it with newcomers to the mountains. The years of experience twinned with our high-quality equipment makes for some amazing times in nature.
Travel & Transport
All locations must be driven to in personal vehicles. Locations are sent prior to arrival.
Equipment
We supply all equipment for each activity. All equipment is frequently safety checked and maintained. Bring suitable robust footwear appropriate for each activity, along with swimwear and a towel where applicable.
A set of binoculars would give you a truly unique perspective from the welsh tops. Whether you want to explore the horizon or identify birds of prey, there is not much you can not see from the tippy top.
Also lots of snacks to keep those energy levels up during our trek, flapkjack is our personal favourite.
Hugh and Ant were fantastic once again. This year we canoed, wild-camped and hiked our way around some of the most iconic and, simultaneously least frequented areas in the North West Highlands. It was a perfect blend of feeling like you were on an unscripted adventure at the same time as the gang ensuring that it was “organised” fun. It honestly made it feel as though I wasn’t on your average tour and we were always taking things off-piste. I think I’ve made some friends for life and have learned a lot about myself. Food was fantastic (i literally never thought I could eat so well on a remote island with just a campfire, a pot, and some imagination and careful planning). They would always take the time to teach new skills, whether navigation, canoeing, or knots and camp craft. This IS NOT PGL. This is a proper adventure with proper adventurers who know how to do it properly.
